HP Drabbles # 1
Disclaimer: I don't own these characters, Ms. Rowling does.
TITLE: Pumpkin Juice Toast
CHARACTERS: Sirius, James, Peter, Remus
NOTES: For the first drabble contest. The theme was writing about the night before summer break begin. Came in first.
“Another year‘s over!” Sirius exclaimed. “We’ve had so many memories! We need a pumpkin juice toast!”
“To decent exam results!” Peter chimed in.
“To keeping you all in line and not killing myself!” Remus joked.
“Hear hear!” James raised his glass of pumpkin juice. “To winning Quidditch games and finally getting Evans to say yes to me!”
Remus looked up from his glass, slightly confused. “But she didn’t say yes. She pushed you into the lake. Just like last year.”
James winced, then smiled again. “She touched me this time instead of using a spell though! I’m getting closer, right?”

Big, Bad Hogwarts
“They serve you spiders for dinners!”
“They’ll turn you into a flobberworm!”
“No, they’ll turn you into a girl!”
“Stop it!” Ron blushed and tried to ignore his brothers. Fred and George decided that it was their job to teach him about Hogwarts. Except it was torture instead of teaching for Ron. He now hated everything he heard about this school.
“It’s better than what’s outside.” Fred grinned. “Because if you go into the Forbidden Forest…”
“…you’ll be_” George started but Ron ran off before he could finish.
“You think he’ll enjoy Hogwarts?”
“He’ll have a smashing time!” Fred nodded.

TITLE: Those Words...
CHARACTERS: Hannah Abbott
NOTES: May spoil something in book six but other than that, you should be good. Placed first in a contest.
She could remember everything from that day.
Ms. Abbott, I’m afraid we have some bad news.
It had been Hannah’s sixth year but it stopped on that day. She remembered the tones of their voices when they called her over. Her heart skipped a few beats before the news finally sunk in. It hadn’t been about schoolwork even though that had given her trouble. It wasn’t about anyone in her house either.
No, it was worse. The sobs, the tears, the screams…they were familiar. She couldn’t return to school with them burned into her memory. Those words…
It’s your mother.

Title: Where Was He?
Characters: Cho, Zacharias (not as a couple though)
Notes: For the drabble contest at lumos_main.
Where was he?
Cho was frantic as she searched every corner of Hogwarts. Cedric wasn’t in the Great Hall. She couldn’t find him by the lake or on the Quidditch pitch. He wasn’t in the library. She looked in all the usual places that he could be and, when all else failed, she pulled Zacharias Smith aside and asked him.
“Sorry to bother you, Zach, but where’s Cedric? I can’t find him.”
Zacharias’ face grew dark. “Cedric is…”
He never finished his sentence. Cho had already figured out where Cedric was when she looked down at the castle’s cold ground.

TITLE: Life of the Party
WORD COUNT: 100
He couldn’t believe this. Professor Slughorn had sunk low and tricked him.
Here he was, with a special invitation, at a party full of mudbloods and blood traitors. Well, maybe not full but he felt queasy. Granger? Weasley? They didn’t belong here. And Weasley stood next to him. He hoped she didn’t start flirting. It was bad enough having her in his presence.
“Boring.” He muttered.
“Yeah.” Weasley agreed. “But you know what? I spiked Slughorn‘s drink when he wasn‘t looking. It should bring life in here.”
Blaise tried hard not to laugh. Maybe she wasn’t that bad after all.
